Let's talk details
Once you fill out an inquiry form, I will reach out to you to schedule an introductory phone call or we can just chat via email and talk details. I will ask you some questions so I can get the feel for you and your partner or family, talk about your goals for the shoot, and decide next steps! My goal is to make you feel comfortable and work with our natural surroundings to have fun and take photos you’ll look back on years from now with deep love and nostalgia for this part of your life.
The less pressure you put on yourself, your partner or the little ones the better. I encourage you to come as you are because the true you is who you’ll want to remember, and who your kids will remember. Wear whatever feels good and no need to clean your house top to bottom- let’s capture a little of that chaos.
For a headshot/solo shoot, we will take 30-60 minutes and include 1-2 outfit changes. For a couples shoot, we will take anywhere from 60-90 minutes and include 2-3 different scenes. Think hanging out at the park on a blanket, walking down your street, and lounging in your house. For a family shoot, we will go anywhere between an hour and a half to three hours depending on the size of your family and location and can include up to 5 ‘looks/scenes’.
We will talk about timing, but I generally suggest we meet either in the early morning (before rush hour at your favorite cafe or park) or in the evening, about an hour and a half before the sun sinks below the skyline and the light is just magic. I mostly commonly shoot at Domino Park, Marsha P Johnson Park, Prospect Park, Brooklyn Bridge Park and in neighborhoods around Brooklyn, but I am always up for your suggestions. I strongly recommend an in-home shoot (or at least a partial in-home shoot) for couples and families. After all, your home is where the memories are made.
